Dr. G.V. Praveen Kumar is a trailblazer in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery in India. With over 20 years of hands-on clinical experience, he has consistently remained at the forefront of vascular care — treating some of the most complex vascular disorders with precision, compassion, and cutting-edge techniques.
Born in Hyderabad in 1979, Dr. Praveen completed his early education in Bangalore and Hyderabad before pursuing a medical degree. His vision was clear from the beginning — to become a pioneer in a niche, underserved area of medicine. That vision gave birth to what we today know as Asian Vascular Hospitals, a center of excellence for vascular care across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Outside the operation theatre, Dr. Praveen is an active learner and explorer. He enjoys traveling, sports, and connecting with people. A university-level athlete, he played basketball and competed in athletics and swimming.
He is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Sanskrit, and is adept at using modern technologies including EMRs, diagnostics, and surgical simulations.
